New HomeSys is a new home systems orientation resource. We publish guides that help people moving into a home identify the essential systems, equipment, shutoffs, filters, alarms, appliances and the routine responsibilities that arrive with a new address.
Plain language first
If a guide needs a glossary, it is not finished. We name the part, show where it usually hides, and say what to do with it.
Written for the first month
Everything is paced for someone who just moved in and still has boxes in the hallway, not for a seasoned homeowner.
No upsell, no scare tactics
We are not selling repairs, warranties or inspections. When a job belongs to a licensed professional, we say so.
What we cover
Moving day usually ends with boxes everywhere and no clear picture of how the house actually works. Most people never learn where the main water shutoff is until water is already on the floor. Our guides fix that in a specific order.
